A Registry for Appaloosa Horses

A horse registry has been incorporated in Oregon for Appaloosa horses. The Foundation Appaloosa Association, Inc. (FAA). Registration requirements will be 75% or greater Appaloosa blood, by blood from known, registered ApHC or ApHCC (Canada) horses.

The purposes for which the FAA is organized are to protect, preserve, and promote the bloodlines of the Appaloosa Horse as a breed, to establish and maintain a registry for recording pedigrees and transfers of ownership of Foundation Appaloosa horses; to promote selective breeding practices to preserve, improve and standardize the Appaloosa Breed Horse; and to collect data and maintain records of a genetic pool of Foundation Appaloosa Horses, always recognizing the 4,932 F# horses and first 139,999 registered with the ApHC as being the Foundation of the Appaloosa breed.
